The other factor is TIME. This is where the paradox comes in.
So no harm for Indians to “copy” the technology obtained by sweat and tears and expense of billions of dollars or rubles over decades by the big Two.
And the plummeting birth rate in China and the aversion to marriage in China and even sex, among the young is increasing exponentially, seems to point to that.
So, if China were at all worried, like Hippomenes, that India would overtake them in this “race” that they are not worried about, then they will like Hippomenes toss some thorny crab apples* to distract the nattering classes in India.
